According to French Telly last night, Britain has already signed up along with 10 other EU countries to produce a 'new generation' of nuclear power stations.
So much for debate and democracy.

democracy doesn't really exist...it can't while capitalism is so important to us all. we live in a world where nuclear power is very important. it is a good source of power. australia is still stuck with burning coal and hidro skeems The only problem i have with nuclear programs is that they can easily turn into weapons programs. this, i don't aprove of.

Yes and 2 of them will be built in Scotland regardless of how the Scots feel, which is largely disgusted!.

Well in an ideal world, it would be nice if their were no nuclear weapons. However, while 1 country has a nuclear weapons programme, another will have one too. The only way we can make sure tat there are no nuclear weapons, is if every government is trustworvy, at peace with its neighbours and those further away, and respectful of all social groupings within its country. That unfortunatel is most likely not going to be achieved.
